UX Designer

Job description

Grover is a fresh alternative to buying and financing

With Grover, you can subscribe to the latest tech instead of buying or financing it, and give things back at any time. We're on a mission to reinvent consumption, go easier on the world's resources, and make innovative tech products accessible to everyone. As our community is growing every day, we're now looking for a UX Designer.

Design Responsibilities

  • Craft intuitive, elegant, and shippable product experiences, leveraging Grover UX design standards and industry best practices.

  • Produce design deliverables using Figma/Sketch, Framer, and other prototyping tools:

  • Detailed site maps, user flows/task flows, user journeys, page flows, taxonomies, paths to purchase, etc.

  • Wireframes, annotations, and prototypes that represent interaction recommendations.

  • Detailed visuals / mockups.

  • Lead cross-functional design reviews for all necessary deliverables.

Role Requirements

  • Expert proficiency in Figma/Sketch, Framer, and other design tools.

  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS. Hands-on skills with rapid prototyping a plus.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in and understanding of information architecture, multi-step and cross-platform flows. You consistently consider the holistic user experience and potential states (errors, successes, dead-ends) in your work.

  • Experience with consumer brands and if you have experience in e-commerce and B2B tools is a plus.

  • The ability to clearly present work, and articulate the rationale for the decisions that led to it.

  • An online portfolio that demonstrates an unfailing advocacy for the user, highlighting: e-commerce design work, mobile design work, analytical decision-making, and strategic thinking.

Additional Attributes of Grover’s Ideal UX Designer

  • You possess strong verbal and written communication skills, whether in one-on-one or group situations. You communicate complex ideas, goals and problems in a way that is accessible even to those unfamiliar with the project. In design conversations about your own work, you keep discussions on-track and focused on delivering actionable next steps.

  • You begin every project by partnering with User Research and Data Science to define what qualitative and quantitative data will be important in their work. You partner with those teams throughout the design and development process, becoming familiar with different data collection techniques and making changes to the product based on data analysis.

  • You share work early and often and seek out constructive feedback from your manager, stakeholders, teams and the Product Design team (at least once per week for active projects), presentations and Crits — and actively work with your team and manager to filter and prioritize feedback.

  • You have a strong understanding of the vision and key objectives for your product area, taking cues from the design manager, as well as product and engineering leads. You consistently consider how your designs can support that vision, the team's goals, the broader product vision and company objectives.

  • You’re a self-starter that takes pride in excellent craftsmanship.

What we offer you:

  • Team Events

  • Fresh Fruit & Drinks

  • A fun workplace

  • Open minded variety of nationalities

  • Modern, spacious office located in central Berlin

  • Ownership of your work

  • Entrepreneurial responsibility and flat-hierarchies
